I'm a Tanzanian engineering student based in Istanbul, and I'm building my foundation in both software and hardware. I worked on a national drone project in high school and I'm now interning in IT while I finish my degree. I'm open to opportunities in software engineering, and I'm always glad to help other students with SAT and TOEFL prep or scholarship applications.
I'm Eliya Amro, a Tanzanian Computer Engineering student pursuing my bachelor's degree at Istanbul Technical University. Born to a Lebanese-Polish father and a Tanzanian mother, I grew up speaking English and Swahili. At 16, I was awarded a scholarship to complete my high school education in Istanbul, Turkey, and I've called the city home since 2021. I currently live in Florya, Istanbul.
I finished high school at UFSM AIHL in 2025 with a 1540 SAT score and a 108 TOEFL score, and started my bachelor's the same year on the Türkiye Bursları merit scholarship. During high school, I also contributed to the TUBITAK Drone Project (2021), an early hands-on introduction to engineering and applied technology.
I'm passionate about helping others navigate the paths I've walked myself, so I'm always happy to support fellow students with SAT and TOEFL preparation, scholarship applications, and university or college admissions.
